Cross-Country Trails - Seefeld & Mösern
Seefeld has a varied mix of cross-country trails available from the centre of the village.
There are easy trails suitable for beginners out by the Seekirchl chapel near the base of the Gschwandtkopf (this is where the specialist cross-country ski schools are located) and there is another nice flat loop out on the Golf Academy grounds on the southern side of Seefeld.
There is also a short flat loop up at the Wildmoos which can be reached by the winter bus service.
The runs further away from the village are of intermediate to expert standard. To the north of Seefeld there is a long red leading downhill from the campsite and eventually joining onto the blue run from Giessenbach and Scharnitz near the Bodenalm area.
The other runs start in the vicinity of the Gschwandtkopf / Seekirchl area mentioned above. There is a red trail which heads down in the direction of Auland via the back of the Wildsee but most of the other runs either head out in the direction of Mösern or up to the Wildmoos area.
There is a good long red loop which runs almost the distance between Mösern or Seefeld on either side of the main road. The Wildmoos area can either be reached by a tough black trail which is steep in places, or via the bus.
From the Wildmoos it is possible to access the trails which connect through to the Leutasch valley. There are some good red trails again taking advantage of countryside that is a golf course in the summer months through to Buchen and Moos, and some more challenging expert routes either through to the Katzenkopf above Weidach or the Neuleutasch area, where the plateau bus runs between Seefeld and Weidach.
