Rosshütte Mountain Railway

Brandl Draglift

The Brandl drag lift is much used by ski school groups and skiers looking to warm up before going further up the mountain. The short run from top to bottom is an easy, if sometimes overcrowded, blue. The lift, however does provide an alternate way up the mountain for those who wish to avoid the crush of the Rosshütte mountain railway - ski from the top to the base iof the Hermannstal chairlift and from the top of that into the main ski area.

Rosshütte Express Chairlift

The new REX six-seater chairlift replaces the former Hermannstal two seater chair and the popular Rosshütte draglift. The lift can still reached from the base via the Brandl lift or from above via the Family and Sport runs.

The chairlift rises over one of the most popular runs in Seefeld - the Sportabfahrt. This winding red run provides for good spectator sport as the lift passes directly overhead or alongside for a good deal of the journey (although section near the bottom of the lift has been made much easier). Near the mid-station there is also a chance to view the jumps of the snowboard fun park. An alternate - and easier route - is to take the blue Familienabfahrt to the bottom of the chairlift.

Kaltwasser Draglift

The Kaltwasser is one of the lifts that is often used by local racing clubs for their practice sessions. The red run to the side starts fairly steeply and then opens out into a consistent piste with plenty of opportunity to practice turns. Carrying on down will lead onto the Familienabfahrt - a turn to the left leads under the mountain railway to the the Sportabfahrt.
